LESS CHASING HOURS. MORE USEFUL REVIEW.

Keep the people, dates,
and decisions together.

A period total tells only part of the story. Timesheet management works better when reviewers can see the entries, sources, and changes behind the hours.

A familiar place to submit time

Eligible hourly workers submit weekly time through the employee portal. Existing entries stay connected to their work dates, so corrections can return to the original record.

A review queue with priorities

Use To review, Changes requested, Approved, and All time views. Search for a worker, choose the relevant pay period, and expand the person to inspect their dated entries.

Specific decisions, with context

Review selected entries and their hours before approving. Request changes with a reason, or use the dated entry editor where correction permissions and payroll locks allow it.

FROM SUBMITTED HOURS TO THE PAY RUN

Move the work forward.
Keep the review trail.

Approving time and approving payroll are separate decisions. PayrollVU helps managers review hours first, then continue to the relevant pay run for payroll review and finalization.

Work in the right period

Review the scheduled pay period or choose custom work dates. Keep the people and dates being reviewed visible before making a decision.

Compare the evidence

Inspect submitted time, effective clock hours, and a deliberately selected imported summary. Comparison information does not create another payable time entry.

Make corrections traceable

Decision emails direct employees back to the relevant entries. Authorized reviewers can request corrections and retain the history of the review.

THE RIGHT WORKFLOW FOR EACH WORKER

Hourly time deserves a clear path.
So do your other pay arrangements.

Hourly employees and contractors

Eligible hourly workers can use portal timesheets. Managers can review submissions, approved entries, corrections, and source comparisons for the selected work period.

Salaried and class-pay workers

Salaried workers do not submit standard portal timesheets. Class-pay workers use the relevant class review workflow, so your review queue can focus on the time entries each worker is actually expected to provide.

Which workers can submit portal timesheets?

Eligible hourly employees and hourly contractors can submit time through the employee portal. Salaried workers do not submit standard portal timesheets, and class-pay workers use the relevant class review workflow.

Can a manager request a timesheet correction?

Authorized reviewers can request changes with a reason. Decision messages link employees back to the original dated entries so they can correct and resubmit the existing time records.

Does approving a timesheet also finalize payroll?

No. Time approval and payroll approval are separate decisions. Review approved time in the relevant pay run and complete the required payroll review and finalization steps.

Do clock records or imported summaries create extra payable hours?

Clock evidence and imported pay-summary hours are comparison information. They do not automatically create another payable time entry. Review the dated entries and the chosen payroll source before continuing.
